Newly added....a gallery of their shoes.
I got the kids a ride-on jeep from a friend who was selling it. Got a second one at a yard sale.
The kids LOVE riding these jeeps. Iris drives her brother all around the backyard in it.
This day, she and Kellen were enjoying some time in their sandbox and playing with their toys outside early in the summer.
We didn't play in the back yard nearly enough...when its the weekend, we're usually out doing errands or going to parks. Maybe someday we'll make the backyard nicer by putting in a deck. But of course we have to have time and energy to yank out the patio, several dying trees, and fix some fence parts.
Yes...I'm certain that's gonna happen soon.

Here's our little lady in the ball pit at Jungle 'o fun.
While I wish the place were cleaner, I suppose it's cleaner than when they play out of doors. Or so I *hope.
When they're done playing there, their clothes and socks are BLACK. Sheesh. If they didn't have such a great time we'd probably not go back. It would be great if there were such a place in Macomb, but as there isn't we'll keep it for a 'deep winter' escape when the kids are feeling pretty squirrly and we're feeling pretty claustrophic and needing a change of scenery.
Here is Iris doing a 'front pullover' from a standing position.
She does a pullup at the same time as she swings her feet up over the bar.
I'm just in awe of her physical skills. She recently tested in the 98% percentile for gross motor skills, and I'm certain it's the gymnastics classes and all the park play. Bless the YMCA gymnastics coaches, who are excellent and long-term employees although they make MINIMUM WAGE no matter HOW long they've worked there. That is such an injustice. If you think so to, please contact the McDonough County YMCA and tell them that good employees deserve pay raises!
